While a Junior at UCLA my roommate Harry and I took the Sierra Club Basic Mountaineering Training Course, and we also went out for ski trips.

On this ski trip Harry is so excited to learn how to telemark that he keeps climbing up and skiing down the hill for an hour, while I watch at the base of the hill, totally exhausted.

High altitude + sun + inadequate sunscreen = terrible sunburn. The inside of my nose is sunburned, my face is already blistering, and I cannot shave for another ten days.
